Have you ever thought how many millions of ways there to make money? From the oldest profession in the world to jobs and enterprises that haven’t even been thought of yet. One hundred years ago, probably before the word, certainly the concept of, entrepreneurism reached the English language money was either inherited or worked hard for. Then, in the 1970s and 1980s people had access to greater technology and possibly a bit more freedom, and all of a sudden people are turning themselves into millionaires with a good idea, a slice of luck, and plenty of bravery.
Inventors have often been crackpots, unlucky or lacked funding at the vital moment. The best business ideas are hard to come by. Services, such as massage, salons and tutoring, are only as good as the staff, and the best staff often branch out on their own once they know their own value. Now, with the digital age in full swing, people all over the world are trying their hand at making an easy living by offering products, ideas and services to clients they have never met. It is easy; find something you think will sell and set up an online business to promote it. No rent, almost no overheads and if it fails, just give up or start something new with your reputation intact. Better still, find a market and pinpoint an opportunity to fill it with a better product or service or a cheaper price and you are guaranteed a certain amount of success.
Most of us really don’t know how lucky we are. Looking back at our grandparents, maybe even our parents, and the lack of opportunities they had. They probably worked a lot harder and for less money (relatively and figuratively) with minimal opportunities to try something different. Here we are, complaining about the cost of this and the cost of that, and moaning about cheap labour and the immigrants that are prepared to do it. Well, let’s look at the facts. How many of us have access to a simple computer and the internet? That’s all one needs to do a little research, use a little common sense and invest in a business idea that is low risk. If it fails, we learn from it then pick ourselves up and try something different. It’s as simple as that, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s stop whining about the bad things we have and the good things we don’t. Look at those poor souls in Asia and Africa, punished with war, famine, poverty, oppression and natural disasters. Get online, get and idea, and put it into action!
